This still feels like the most unsafe spot to cycle in The Hague since cars pass very close, often speeding trying to still catch the green / orange traffic light making it a very unpleasant experience. The space is very tight and there is tram riding in the middle of the street so separated lanes would be hard to build due to lack of space

- Install signs to remind drivers to slow down and share the road with cyclists. Consider painting sharrows (shared lane markings) to clarify where cyclists should ride. Metre-wide painted bike lanes would also be cheaper than installing physical separators.
- Consider implementing traffic calming measures such as speed humps or chicanes to slow down vehicles. Additionally, prioritize a separated bike lane, even if it means reducing the width of the road or removing some parking spaces. Educate residents on the importance of being mindful of cyclists and other vulnerable road users.
- Install a cycle safety net above the road. Cyclists ride above cars, motorcycles, and trams, with a separate lane. This solution eliminates the need for road space and reduces the risk of accidents and fatalities while providing a unique cycling experience.
- Contact your local government representative and express your concerns. Provide possible solutions for this issue, such as reducing speed limits or implementing physical barriers. Encourage other community members to join you in lobbying for change.
- Consider implementing traffic calming measures such as speed humps or raised crosswalks to slow down vehicles. Additionally, explore the possibility of narrowing the road or utilizing bollards to create a protected bike lane.
