• The local government could immediately remove the defective mail carrier bicycles and provide free bike valet parking with staff and bike racks in this area. This would improve the aesthetic of the area, reduce pollution, and show that biking in Frankfurt is safe and supported.
• Implement a regular maintenance and repair program for mail carrier bicycles to prevent defective bicycles from being left on the streets. Look to cities such as Amsterdam and Copenhagen who prioritize cycling infrastructure and regularly maintain shared bicycles.
