How to fix bike lanes on a budget? Of course you put up a sign saying "bike lane damages" However I would argue that there are far worse bike lanes in the region than in areas where they have actually put up the signs. How to raise awareness that there are even worse spots?

• Create a crowdsourced map where cyclists can report the location and severity of damaged bike lanes. Use social media to promote the map and encourage cyclists to contribute. This will not only raise awareness of the issue but also provide valuable data for prioritizing repairs.
• Implement a crowd-sourced reporting system through an app that allows cyclists to report poor bike lane conditions, with GPS tagging. Prioritize repairs based on the number of reports. Examples of such systems include the "Bike Citizens" app in Austria and Germany, and "See Click Fix" in the US.
• Create a fun app that allows bicyclists to rate the condition of bike lanes in the city. Add a feature that rewards users for rating the worst bike lanes with a chance to win a new bike or a free tune-up. Use the data to prioritize repairs and create a public campaign to raise awareness and encourage more people to participate in the app.
• Contact your local government or city council member and provide specific information and pictures of the worse bike lanes in the area. Attend public meetings and advocate for increased funding for bike lane maintenance and improvements. Join local cycling advocacy groups to amplify your message.
• The mobility officer should conduct a thorough assessment of all bike lanes and identify areas that need improvement. They can work with local cycling groups to get feedback on high-traffic areas. Short term solutions like repairing potholes, adding signage, and regulating traffic flow can be implemented while long-term solutions are developed.
