For some months now, markings for cycling have been applied behind the crossing at the Märzknoten, so that cyclists should ride across the parking lot. However, it is unfortunately not an official bike path. This path is safer than on the road, especially for children. Unfortunately, further markings are missing, so that cars park on this path or block it. On the picture there is a car directly in the lane for cyclists (indicated by the arrow). Parking is not prohibited at this point.
Further clear markings should be applied and parking or no-stopping signs should be erected.

KI-Ideen (KI-generiert, unverbindlich)
- Proposal: Install additional clear markings on the bike lane and erect parking or no-stopping signs to prevent cars from blocking the bike lane at the Märzknoten crossing. This low-cost solution will enhance cyclist safety, especially for children, and ensure the intended use of the path.
- Solution: Install clear and prominent markings for the bike lane, along with no-parking/no-stopping signs in the area. Learn from international examples where similar issues were successfully addressed to ensure an optimal long-term solution.
- A "moonshot" solution could be to implement a temporary pop-up bike lane using planters or barricades to physically separate the bike lane from the parking area. This will create a safe and clearly defined space for cyclists, discouraging cars from parking or blocking the path, and fostering a positive, interactive experience for the community.
- Proposal: Install proper signage indicating that the area behind the crossing at Märzknoten is an official bike path. Mark the bike lane clearly to avoid any confusion and enforce no-parking/stopping regulations to ensure the path remains unblocked.
- To improve the situation, the mobility officer should designate the path as an official bike lane, clearly marking it and installing parking or no-stopping signs to prevent vehicles from blocking the lane.
