Bollards are not well positioned here - whenever I pass by there I have to correct my course so I don’t crash into the bollard. Instead of 3 bollards I think one in the middle would do as well (if even)
KI-Ideen (KI-generiert, unverbindlich)
- Repositioning the bollards would be a quick solution with low cost and material effort. Placing a single bollard in the middle could help to avoid misalignment and keep both cars and bicycles safe.
- A potential solution could be to conduct a thorough analysis of the area to determine the best placement for bollards to ensure pedestrian and cyclist safety, while minimizing the impact on traffic flow. Evidence-based best practices, such as those used in cities like Copenhagen and Amsterdam, could be consulted as examples.
- Introduce an augmented reality game on a smartphone app where players have to navigate through the bollards on their bike or car. This incentivizes safe and skillful driving/cycling while also promoting the area as a fun destination. The app can also collect data on traffic patterns and help optimize bollard placement in the future.
- Report the issue to the local government or transportation department and request for a repositioning of the bollards to ensure safety for all road users.
- The mobility officer should assess the situation and the current positioning of bollards and make necessary adjustments. They can also consider using alternative methods of traffic management such as traffic signs or road markings to improve safety for both bicyclists and drivers.
